This Trojan is very bad, we have seen it on a number of machines and is very difficult to remove. We had spyware and anti-virus programs running to get rid but with no results. It does seem to disable the virus scanning software. The best software was Prevx1 which seemed to control it. We did manual extraction and did a trace of the virus on a blank unit. MANUAL REMOVAL: 1. Temporarily Disable System Restore (Windows Me/XP). 2. Update the virus definitions. 3. Reboot computer in SafeMode 4. Run a full system scan and clean/delete all infected files 5. In order to make sure that Trojan.Backdoor is completely eliminated from your computer, carry out a full scan of your computer using AntiVirus and Antispyware Software. Another way to delete the virus using various Antivirus Program without the need to install can be done with Online Virus Scanner. Seek expert advise!!
