Spamlia.b is a trojan designed to send out excessive amount of e-mail spam. Once executed, the parasite silently installs itself to the system, gathers e-mail addresses from the Windows Address Book and obtains certain mail server settings. Then it sends unsolicited e-mail messages (in Italian) with infected attachments to all collected addresses. Opening such an attachment installs another parasite - downloader trojan. Spamlia.b activity severely degrades Internet connection throughput and affects mail server performance.
