    Skowr is the ransomware parasite, which encrypts all text, web and programming files that it finds in the compromised system. Skowr explains what it does and demands the victim to pay up by purchasing some game or Internet accounts. After the user pays the ransom, he or she receives the decoder and specific password, which allow to decrypt inaccessible files. The parasite also disables the Task Manager and changes the Administrator’s password. Skowr can terminate popular antiviruses, other security-related software, and block access to well-known security web sites, Internet search engines and software download sites. The parasite runs on every Windows startup.
