PopCorn, also known as PopCorn.net is a variant of the MovieLand/MediaPass parasite, which is a special download manager that allows the user to access and download some online content including movies, music, games, news, photos, etc. However, the application also continuously displays advertisements in pop-up windows and obtrusively asks the user to continue using the program by paying for it. Moreover, PopCorn may take over the whole screen and aggravate its uninstall process. The threat runs on every Windows startup.
