Mixor is a virus that attempts to infect all executable files and RAR archives it finds in local drives. Executing the infected file runs the parasite. Sometimes Mixor fails to infect anything, though. The virus includes functionality to install a backdoor that provides the attacker with unauthorized remote access to the compromised computer. Furthermore, it can propagate by e-mail using own mail engine. Mixor sends e-mail messages with infected attachments to all the addresses it gathers from local text documents, web pages and programming files. The virus automatically runs on every Windows startup.
