from the doc:--MAIN MANTIS CLIENT WINDOW--I'm going to go from the very top to the bottom and tell you what each function is and how to use it. IP box: You enter the person's IP address you are trying to connect to. Port box: This where you enter the port address of the person you are trying to connect to. Default for v0.1 is 37237. Connect button: Press this to connect to person's IP and port. The default is 37237. Disconnect button: Disconnect from person's computer. Box under disconnect button: This box tells you whether you are connected or not. Change server password: Brings up the change server password box. Change server port: Brings up the change server port box Reboot: Reboots the person's computer Shutdown: Shutdowns the person's computer. I am not sure if it waits for programs to finish or not so I have also added a force shutdown. If the first shutdown is a normal one where it waits for programs to end then I will remove that one unless people still want it in. Force shutdown: Forces a shutdown regardless of whether there are open programs or unsaved data. WARNING: Any unsaved data will be lost with this. Show shutdown dialog: Shows the shutdown dialog. Get time: Gets there computers time. Get date: Gets there computers date. Set time: Sets the time to your choice. Set date: Sets date to your choice. Local Options: Brings up options for the Mantis client. Close: Closes the client. --CHANGE SERVER PASSWORD SCREEN--New password box: Type the new password. Mask: Choice of masking the password in this screen. Password is masked always in the server password screen. In this screen it is enabled by default for security. Set: Sets the new password. To disable the password just leave the box blank. Close/Cancel: Closes the box. Once set has been clicked you cannot change the password back to what it was other than by retyping it. --CHANGE SERVER PORT--Set to default: Sets the port to default. Default for v0.1 Beta is 37237. New Port: This is where you type the new port number. Set: This sets the new port number. Close: Closes this window. --LOCAL OPTIONS--Show time in statusbar: Shows your machine time in the statusbar. Show date in statusbar: Shows your machine date in statusbar. At the moment if you use the client at midnight with this option enabled, it will not auto update itself. You have un-enable it and re-enable it for to get updated. In the next version (0.2) I will be adding many more features to the program. This release was just a test release and to find errors in my connection code. If you find any bugs or anything please let me know about them. The winsock control is also needed, but the chances of them not having that are quite slim but just include it in case. For the client to work properly with the system tray you need to copy the included system tray control to your windows directory.Mantis doesn't listen to a port unless the computer is online, if you would like to test it on yourself use the command parameter "local" when you run the server. This will give you full access offline.Lythical0.3 b2: In this beta I have added quite a few features than the last beta. In this beta please test all features as a few problems may have come up(I hope not). Also please check the spelling of all tool tip texts, also if there is no tool tip text for anything include it in your report please. Also do a thorough check of the encryption features as I have not tested them properly yet.To connect to the server your client has to be on port 3723 (I know the default is 37237) and when asked for a password you need to use "4" (with out the inverted commas).All files in package are packed with upx 1.07Know IssuesSometimes it is possible to make the server not accept any more connections on a certain port, even after a server restart.
