Darker is an Internet worm that spreads through file-sharing networks. It installs itself to the system and places infected executables in shared folders of popular peer-to-peer applications. The worm has an integrated trojan, which can be used by attackers to fully control an infected computer remotely. This trojan also can be used to log keystrokes , terminate all antivirus and security-related programs processes. Darker can spread by e-mail using Microsoft Outlook mail client. However, this feature is not enabled by default and has to be turned on by attackers.
