Spyster details

  • Description

From the doc: 'Napster, Gnutella, etc claim that users are anonymous when transferring MP3s. This is NOT true. Using Spyster it is very easy to see who is connected. Spyster shows connection information much like netstat. Users can see the IP Addresses and Ports of users who are downloading files from their local computer and the remote computer they are grabbing files from. Features Include: * Monitor IP Addresses/Port Inbound/Outbound * Do DNS Lookups on connections * See connection state * 'Stay Top' allows you to monitor you connections and keep Spyster in the foreground.'from the author: 'Spyster is as benign as netstat that comes with every OS. It doesn't install itself randomly, people have to go to a download site and specifically search for the program and download it. Gov, Univs, Corps, all use Spyster as a security tool.'
