Gnome details

  • Description

from the doc: 'Gnome is a little program that, when run on a machine, hits a cgi script on the web which then logs the IP, time and whatever name you gave the 'server' (The script is included). It also pages an ICQ number with the same information, although this relies on the Mirabilis web pager system. Gnome alters the registry to run itself everytime the machine is started, once run it waits until an internet connection can be detected and then pages the server and ICQ number and then terminates. The edit server program will allow you to change the server address, ICQ number and ICQ ServerName, just open up the Gnome EXE file in it. You can rename the Gnome.exe file to anything you like to make it less conspicuous or bind it to another file. Gnome can be shrunk using a standard EXE packer, however once done, the variables will no-longer be changeable. To install the CGI script on your server, change the '#!/usr/bin/perl' bit to point to Perl on your server then upload it and CHMOD it to 755.'
