Worm FreeLink spreads in the Internet by e-mail and through IRC channels. It is written in Visual Basic Script and installs itself to the system. It modifies mIRC and pIRCh chat clients settings and uses these programs to distribute infected files in IRC networks. For spreading by e-mail it uses Microsoft Outlook mail program. The worm was designed only to spread and doesn’t harm an infected system.
