Flukan.c, also known as Grogotix, is a virus that infects Zip archives by overwriting them with an executable copy of itself. It can also infect some executables and disable important system tools. Once executed, the parasite secretly installs itself to the system and runs a payload. It opens a back door providing the attacker with unauthorized remote access to the compromised computer. The intruder can terminate running processes, damage antivirus software, steal user sensitive information, execute system commands, disable Windows Safe Mode and other system functions. The virus can also be used to block access to legitimate web sites. Flukan.c automatically runs on every Windows startup.
