To manually remove DownloadWare, Open registry editor ( click Start > Run, type regedit and click Ok ) Expand the key: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run, find and remove the 'DownloadWare' value. Find and remove the following registry entries also: HKEY CURRENT USER\Software\ DownloadWare; HKEY CURRENT USER\Software\WebInstall; Close the registry editor. Open the Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del), and terminate the process called 'Dw' if it is still running. Delete the 'DownloadWare' folder in the Program Files directory.
