We all know about security while using a computer and even when your not. If you are connected to the internet, installing software from another medium or even letting someone else use your computer while you are not there is a big security risk. Generally if your follow the basic rules you will never get issues with security.
- Always use your firewall. It can either be the software version installed with Microsoft Windows or by the manufacurer of your computer.
- Always use a good quality virus / spyware tool. Prevention is always better than trying to cure it later. The removal of trojans can take days or even weeks.
- Never install software that does not come from a respectable software house.
- Never click on attachments that have not been scanned by a virus filter.
